AirSeal®

Robotic Solution

Designed for stability. Proven to benefit patients.

airseal robotic solution

In minimally invasive robotic surgery, pressure control isn’t just a setting. It’s a safeguard for your patients. AirSeal® delivers unmatched stability in pneumoperitoneum, allowing you to operate confidently at lower pressures without sacrificing visibility.

Stability is the Patient's Advantage

Surgeons shouldn't have to choose between efficiency and efficacy.
By maintaining stable pneumoperitoneum, AirSeal® reduces the negative physiological impact caused by surgical insufflation and allows surgeons to operate confidently at lower pressure. These benefits align with ERAS protocols and the broader push toward gentler surgical impact.

HOW DOES AIRSEAL® MAINTAIN THAT STEADINESS?

AirSeal® uses fluid dynamics to maintain balanced pressures in real time. The AirSeal® Robotic Solution forms an air barrier by directing a precisely regulated, filtered inflow to meet the existing abdominal gas. Conventional insufflation systems replenish CO2 only after it escapes, creating brief periods of under- or over-pressurization.

The AirSeal® Robotic Solution is indicated for use with Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci 8mm cannulas and 8mm hex cannulas, enabling seamless integration across the X, Xi, and dV5 platforms. A separate clear lumen delivers CO2 to the universal seal, ensuring continuous flow.

This design preserves stable cavity pressure and enables constant smoke evacuation. If pressure rises, AirSeal® vents instantly, and during a large leak or heavy suction, it briefly draws inflow before resealing within seconds.
