Real-Time Intraarticular Joint Temperature Monitoring

Recent studies recommend temperature monitoring during RF ablation.1 To aid safety and efficacy, all Edge® bipolar probes feature real-time temperature monitoring. Surgeons have flexibility to adjust the temperature alert set point or turn off the feature for cases that do not require temperature monitoring.

Faster Bulk Tissue Ablation

A unique one-piece electrode design allows the Edge® Bipolar Arthroscopic RF System to safely use more power.2 The Edge® system automatically detects the bipolar probe upon insertion and optimizes power levels based on electrode size to efficiently and effectively generate a strong and stable plasma layer.


Automatic Scope Detection

For added safety, when the Edge® system detects the presence of a very low impedance object like an arthroscope, the flow of energy is automatically stopped until the probe is a safe distance from the detected object.


A Probe for Every Procedure

Edge® offers a variety of probe angles and lengths for small joint, shoulder, hip, and knee procedures, including Hook Probes specifically designed for lateral release in the knee. They are comprised of Tungsten material, which is known for electrical conductivity, its resistance to wear, and biocompatibility.
